The Weaver is the second in my line of
Gemstone Tree Spirits. She is adorned with
Amazonite and Moss Agate chip beads (these
are natural gemstones, not enhanced by man
other than polishing and drilling), and
an opalescent glass seed bead for the flower
tendrils.
Between her "hands" she (or the
spider) is weaving a web. The spider web
is still sporting dew drops from the early
morning. She is sculpted entirely by hand
out of Aves Apoxie Sculpt and polymer clay,
without the use of molds of any kind.
She stands 13 inches tall to the top of
her highest branch. Her wooden base is store
bought by hand finished in a red mahogany
stain. Her roots spread out over her base
among river rocks and is covered in spice
"dirt" with various mosses.
