Hadumas is an old gentleman elf of the
Treeans. He's been around in his time, and
as a younger lad, he spent most of his time
off on great explorations of the world,
but his age just won't let him travel the
way he used to. Instead he has to be content
with reminiscing about his more adventurous
days by looking over old maps of his travels.
If you would like to find him, chances
are he will be locked away in his study
going over the good old days. He wistfully
holds his map and wishes he could relive
those bygone days, but alas he has to be
content to simply remember.

Hadumas comes with parts of his study, including
a desk, chair, books, maps, ink well and quill,
candle holder and candle. He is very poseable
which allows him to sit or stand as you wish.
The desk is made of redwood which has been cut
and planed into small planks, then cut and assembled
by hand. The chair was made from pine dowels which
were mortised and tenoned together, and the seat
and backrest were hand woven which took many hours
to accomplish.
The pitcher, candle holder, ink well and books
are all made from polymer clay. It will come with
the feather quill and dried flowers, but either
one can be replaced with your own items.
The maps are actual historic maps that have been
printed out and aged to look like they have been
around the world a few times.
Hadumas was sculpted entirely by hand by myself,
without the use of molds of ANY kind. He is completely
poseable with sculpted head, hands and feet, with
a cloth body over wire.
He stands 14 inches tall and stands well on his
own two feet if you so desire. He may be seated
for more stability.
All clothes are made of natural materials. His
shirt is made of muslin, and his vest is of cotton.
His pants are sewn out of 100% virgin wool. All
clothing has been hand stitched, and buttons were
hand made from polymer clay.
Hadumas' hair and eyebrows are made from tussah
silk, better known as "wild silk". It
is incredibly fine and very soft fiber, and it
is considered "organic" because it was
not made from commercial, but rather wild silk
worms. It is also known as vegetarian silk because
it does not require that the larva be killed in
order to harvest the silk, the cocoons are harvested
after the moths emerge.
His skin is the natural color of the clay with
some blushing and other washes of color laid in
for depth.
Hadumas is the first in my "Treean"
line. Treeans are a race of elves who live primarily
in old hollow trees, mainly in old growth forests.
They are a very peace loving race, and are very
family oriented. They are particularly common
near my home in some of the older, and more established
woods.
The desk stands 5 1/4 inches to the top, 7 3/8
inches wide and 5 1/2 inches deep. The chair is
7 1/2 inches tall to the top of the back and the
seat is about 2 1/2 inches from the floor.
Both the chair and the desk are sealed and the
seat and back of the chair is woven with cotton
cord. Both are very sturdy and solidly constructed.
