Fenwick
Sold

Fenwick is an elf whose job it is to keep
an eye out for humans and others who might
blunder into their realm. He carries a horn
to warn of any intruders, but he isn't very
good at his job. He spends much more time
in other pursuits than he does keeping watch.
Today he has found an amazing thing: fairy
stones.
|
He carries four of them in his pouch. Known in
the geological world as Staurolite, fairy stones
are considered good luck charms. Its name comes
from the Greek word for "cross", and
indeed they are often found in that shape.
Fenwick is 4 1/2 inches tall sitting, but would
be 9 1/2 inches if he were in a standing position.
He is clothed in soft leather and sports a leather
cap which hangs down his back and is adorned with
a few beads.
He carries a horn which is hung around his neck
on a braided cord, and is made from polymer clay.
On his belt he has a small leather pouch filled
with four fairy stones, three of which are "twins"
or two Staurolite crystals which intersect forming
a 60° cross. The other is a single Staurolite
crystal. (See image above.)
These stones are raw and not ground like many
that are sold to make them look like more perfect
crosses. They were found in Fairystone State Park
in Virginia.
Fenwick's hair is made from ostrich feathers,
and his skin is the natural color of the clay,
with an addition of a light blushing of acrylic
paint.
